Stratford’s ‘The Starlight’ gets some national recognition

A Stratford restaurant is gaining national recognition.

The Starlight, a downtown eatery and bar in the heart of downtown, was recognized as one of Air Canada’s best new restaurants for 2024.

The highly anticipated list nominates 30 restaurants spanning 18 cities from coast-to-coast.

The Air Canada restaurant ranking is the longest running in Canada and the only one to use a single, anonymous reviewer.

The Starlight, at 64 Wellington Street, has been aided by the national spotlight and owners Megan Jones and Tim Pritchard are grateful for support they’ve received.

“I mean it’s great we’ve had lots of positive feedback from the community so that’s been nice to see, too,” said Jones.

The community hub is a place where people from all walks of life can come together and enjoy good food and drinks.

“Stratford’s on the map for sure. I think things like this and different awards like this really prove that people are aware of what great things happen here,” Jones expressed.

The Top 10 restaurant finalists will be announced on Nov. 4.
