OPP have seized a large haul of drugs, weapons, cash and stolen property.
Several provincial police units assisted, including Huron-Perth and Grey-Bruce Community Street Crimes Units and the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Police observed a vehicle in a farmer’s field, damaging crops trying to evade officers. The vehicle drove into a tree stump and caused heavy damage to the vehicle.
The lone driver fled but was soon arrested.
Police confirmed that the vehicle was stolen. A search of the path driven by the accused revealed a 9mm revolver and 9mm ammunition.
Inside the vehicle, police found methamphetamine, $1,300 in Canadian currency, a prohibited knife, and a container of exploding rifle mix.
OPP found a second vehicle at the address and arrested a second person.
More weapons and stolen property were later found, including a stolen enclosed trailer, snowmobile and pickup truck, crossbows, compound bows and ammunition.
The stolen vehicles and property are worth $117,000.
Total value of the seizure is $123,000.
Two men from South Bruce, ages 45 and 40, face numerous charges.
