The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Stratford chapter starts their monthly meetings and speaker series tomorrow (Sept. 24).
It’s the 70th anniversary of CFUW Stratford, and though much has changed since 1954, the focus remains the education of girls and women locally and globally, through scholarships and advocacy.
Cambria Ravenhill, the 2024/2025 president of CFUW Stratford, says funds are given out for all sorts of educational opportunities, not just university studies, and CFUW accepts all women as members, regardless of educational background.
Tuesday’s meeting at Stratford District Secondary School (7 p.m.) will include a profile of someone who received a scholarship 65 years ago, and she will discuss how it impacted her life.
