Each year, volunteer firefighters in St. Marys get together with the community for a mealĀ and to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy, local sports and other charities.
The local FD are getting set to host their annual rib and pig tail dinner on Oct. 10.
You’ve still got time to purchase tickets in advance at $30 per plate. There is a dine-in option in the community room at the Pyramid Recreation Centre, or you can get take out.
Fire Chief Richard Anderson said he’s looking forward to serving a great meal and raise much-needed funds for deserving charities.
Anywhere from 500-600 people usually attend.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Cutoff date for tickets is Oct. 3.
Kennedy’s Restaurant & Catering are preparing the meal, which also includes sauerkraut, scalloped potatoes and buns.
