New fundraising initiative for United Way Perth Huron

It’s another way to contribute to United Way Perth Huron (UWPH).

The local not-for-profit has started a ‘Keys for Community’ fundraiser.

Participating auto, boat and farm equipment dealerships are donating $25 from each sale to UWPH’s annual campaign, from September to December.

“United Way appreciates local dealerships stepping up to help our campaign,” Executive Director, Ryan said via a media release. “We understand the challenges these businesses face right now, so their commitment to helping us build a better community speaks volumes to their commitment to the places they call home and makes a real difference in
the lives of vulnerable local people.”

Participating dealerships include Stratford City Mazda, Stratford Honda, Stratford Motor Products and Stratford Nissan, DeJong Auto Ltd. (Brucefield) and Pentastic Motors (Gorrie).

The organization said the annual fundraising campaign supports more than 40 local partners and programs, working to reduce poverty, housing people, and supporting mental health and well-being.

Last year, more than 25,000 people were helped by UWPH supported partners and programs. Visit perthhuron.unitedway.ca for more information.
