Avondale United Church is hosting a multi-faceted event to benefit the church.
On Oct. 19, Avondale will host a vendor sale/bake sale, penny carnival.
Organizers have 50 vendors lined up, offering a big variety of items.
You can also bring a donation for the Avondale Food Shelf.
Susan Wigan from Avondale United Church said the shelf is just one way the church gives back to the community.
“It’s almost like a store where anyone in need can come and get food that their need. It’s a really, really good service that we provide.”
Wigan said they don’t need any more vendors, just folks to show up and find some good bargains. There are five different rooms of items, and a penny cash sale.
The event runs 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
