UPDATE: Stratford police sent out an update on Friday (Oct. 11) at 4:18 p.m. noting the woman was found and is safe.

Stratford police are looking for assistance from the public to find a missing person.
Melissa, age 37, is described by police as a black female, five foot three inches tall, with an an average build. She has tattoos on her arms and chest and straight black hair, typically in a pony tail.
Melissa was last seen wearing a white jacket, blue jeans, and brown boots – walking north on Downie Street from Lorne Avenue East, in Stratford, shortly after 12:30 p.m.
Police are attempting to locate Melissa to check on her well-being.
Anyone with information on Melissa’s whereabouts is asked to contact 911.
