North Perth resident has died following a motor vehicle collision

An 83-year-old North Perth resident has died following a motor vehicle collision.

Perth OPP said they responded to Perth Road 164 (Highway 23), just north of Line 77, on Saturday (Oct. 12) night at 8 p.m.

A pedestrian was struck on the roadway.

The resident was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

Police said the investigation continues with traffic incident and management and enforcement team assisting the local detachment.

The area of Perth Road 164 between Line 78 and Line 75 was closed to protect emergency responders and to facilitate the investigation. It has since reopened.
