That’s according to the most recent statistics posted online by the Huron Perth Association of Realtors.
There were 840 residential listings/units on the market at the end of September, up 27 per cent year-over-year. Active listings were nearly 71 per cent above the five-year and 53 per cent above the 10-year average for September.
One hundred twenty eight units sold in the counties last month, 26 per cent below the 10-year average and the lowest reading for the month in 20 years, according to the association.
The association said buyers seem to be waiting for rates to fall even further before returning.
The average price of a home sale last month was $621,704.
