Three speakers on tap at Tedx event next month in Stratford

A TEDx event is coming to Stratford, with a focus on innovation and creativity in the housing sector.

A local speaker series that brings people together to share ideas, the first TEDx in the city is set for Nov. 7 and it will feature three main speakers.

They include Michael Moffatt, a Senior Director of Policy and Innovation at the Smart Prosperity Institute; Anneke Smit, Associate Professor, University of Windsor, and the founder and inaugural Director of the Centre for Cities (C4C) at Windsor Law and Paul Kalbfleisch, former VP of creativity and brand strategy for Research in Motion.

TEDx Stratford organizer Alan Kasperski says Stratford has always been a birthplace of ideas and he believes the event can stimulate out-of-the-box thinking, leading to innovative ideas for the housing sector.

Ballinran Entertainment is filming and it will be uploaded to the TEDx YouTube Channel.

Organizers hope it can become a recurring event.

Tickets are free but limited. The Nov. 7 event runs 7-9 p.m. in Lazaridis Hall at the Stratford Festival’s Tom Patterson Theatre.
