Strathroy Rockets left the William Allman Memorial Arena on Friday night with a 3-0 shutout win over the host Stratford Warriors.
Brendan Gerber, Josh Denes and Nathan Schaap scored for the Rockets, who sit in fourth place in the Greater Ontario Junior B Hockey League standings at 9-4-0-1.
Stratford remain in second place at 10-4.
On Sunday in the GOJHL, Listowel Cyclones roared back from a 2-0 deficit to beat St. Thomas Stars 9-3. Cam McNeven had two goals for the Cyclones, who are 8-3-1, good enough for sixth spot in the Western Division.
Wylie Birkett, Benson Moore, Trenton Harris, Tate Brenner, Aiden Renaud, Jack O’Donnell and Harrison Meulensteen added singles.
Also on Sunday, St. Marys Lincolns doubled up the KW Siskins 4-2. Owen Voortman and Jaden Lee scored two goals each for the Lincolns.
The Lincolns (12-1) lost their first game of the season on Friday night at home, 4-3, to Chatham Maroons (8-5).
Ryan Cornfield, Jacob Montesi and Lee had goals for the Lincolns.
Also on Friday, Teague Vader scored twice in Listowel’s 4-3 win over Sarnia Legionnaires (2-8-2). Dylan Szymanowski and Mason Eurig had singles for Listowel.
Elsewhere last week, Stratford won 4-3 in overtime in Sarnia on Thursday (Oct. 24).
Quinn Kipfer scored the winner for the Warriors in the extra frame after Jack McGurn tied the game with the only goal of the third period.
Carter Petrie and Cole Lewis also scored for Stratford.
