Huron OPP have laid charges against a West Perth resident after a single vehicle accident.
Police reported on Tuesday that they were contacted after a vehicle went into a ditch near the intersection of Blyth Road and McNaught Line in Huron East, on Oct. 20.
Officers spoke to the driver, and determined he was drinking alcohol prior to driving.
The driver was transported to Huron OPP detachment in Clinton for breath tests.
Readings registered at two times the legal limit.
A 30-year-old is charged with operation while impaired – over 80, as well as Highway Traffic Act and Liquor License Control Act charges.
The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the driver’s license of the accused is suspended for 90 days.
