So far, so good for the Stratford General Hospital Foundation 50/50 draw.
The latest monthly grand prize draw for October is Friday (Nov. 1) at 9 a.m.
September’s monthly grand prize winner pocketed $10,950.
SGH Foundation Executive Director Cheryl Hunt says the 50/50 draws, which returned this year after a hiatus, are raising some big bucks for the foundation’s $30 Million In Our Hands Capital Campaign.
“We are on the cusp. We are just about there. We are 95 per cent of our goal and we are hoping…with the holiday season coming, the spirit of giving is out there, and folks think of their hospital when charity comes to mind,” Hunt told MyStratfordNow.
Funds raised will help put the latest equipment and technology in the hands of healthcare professionals at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance – Stratford General Hospital, and help fund the hospital’s new cancer & medical care clinic, with a co-located pharmacy.
In 2021, $73,000 in prizes were distributed.
Tickets are for sale in blocks of 300 for $40, 100 for $20, 20 for $10 and five for $5.
You can also purchase them at the Stratford General Hospital Foundation office.
Hunt said there isn’t a target fundraising goal.
“We are just very grateful for our community and all their support and their dedication to our hospital.”
