Learn about food writing at Eating Words 2024

Stratford Chefs School is hosting a free event, Eating Words 2024 – a discussion with Lesley Chesterman.

The event is Nov. 8 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Chesterman is The Stratford Chef’s School Joseph Hoare Gastronomic Writer-In-Residence for 2024.

During their two-week residence in Stratford, the resident leads workshops about food writing, provides one-on-one consultations with students and presents readings and discussions of their work to both students and the public.

The Joseph Hoare Gastronomic Writer-in-Residence program at Stratford Chefs School is in its 17th year and is the only program of its kind in Canada.

Chesterman attended the Institut de Tourisme et d’Hôtellerie du Québec, before becoming a pastry chef and cooking teacher in both Montreal and France.

She is an accomplished award-winning food writer.

Eating Words 2024 will be held at the Stratford Chefs School Kitchens at 136 Ontario Street.
