Public health looking for dog involved in Stratford incident

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) are asking for assistance from the community to locate a large dog involved in an incident in Stratford on Monday.

HPPH said the incident took place at 6:30 p.m. near the end of TJ Dolan Drive, on stone steps leading up to the Huron Street Bridge.

The dog is described as large sized, light brown, possibly a cane Corso or mastiff mix. A female, described as wearing a coat and having medium length brown hair, was walking the dog on the steps when the incident occurred.

Public health wants to determine if the dog is up to date on rabies vaccination.

HPPH reminds everyone to obtain contact information of the owners of the animal that is involved in an incident.

If you have information contact Huron Perth Public Health at 1-888-221-2133 ext. 3670.
