A special service at Bethel Pentecostal Church aims to help residents remember their loved ones while walking through the holiday season together.
Chad McLaren, lead pastor with Bethel Church, said the annual Christmas memorial service gets a spirited response during what can be a tough part of the calendar year for some.Â
“It’s just a service where people can gather together, remember the loved ones that they have lost over the years, because we understand that Christmas can be a hard season at times.”
The one hour service, called ‘Missing you this Christmas’, includes Christmas carols, and a subject matter expert is scheduled as a guest speaker.
“This year we actually have a grief expert coming in, to share with us and just to help people process their grief in this time.”
McLaren said the service is open to everyone and encourages residents to invite someone they feel may benefit from attending.
The service is Monday, Dec. 9, starting at 6:30 p.m.
