Stratford parents welcome Nora, first New Year’s Day baby

The proud parents of the first baby born at Stratford General Hospital in 2025 are equal parts excited and exhausted.
Baby girl Nora came into the world at 4:04 a.m., New Year’s Day, weighing 9 pounds, 6 ounces.
Proud father Owen Ainger (AIN-JER), tells MyStratfordNow how exciting it has been having a new addition to the family.
“It’s been wonderful, although you know, I could ask for a little bit more sleep. Other than that, she’s been perfect.”
Mother, Tyla Richards, is doing well after the birth, albeit a little exhausted, says Ainger.
The Stratford residents were thrilled to hear they were having a girl.
“We’ve been excited the moment they told us it was a girl.”
Nora is the second child for the couple, and is the apple of her big brother Kaedyn’s eyes.
Although the four-year-old believed his mom was having a “robot”, he’s happy to now have a new baby sister.
