A brand-new book trail has been launched by Stratford Public Library.
The Tales and Trails program is a partnership with Stratford-Perth Museum, Rotary Club of Stratford and Stratford Public Library.
The story walk takes you on a leisurely stroll along the Heritage Trails in Stratford, behind the museum.
There is a new book introduced every season since starting in the Fall of 2023.
The current book trail covers the Do You Wonder? by Wallace Edwards.
With thoughtful illustrations and thought-provoking prompts, the book caters to readers of all ages.
Trish MacGregor, Stratford Public Library’s Children Librarian and Public Library on Wheels coordinator said reading and the outdoors is a great combination.
“So it’s an opportunity for people to get out in nature, have some physical activity and explore a great book.”
The Winter Wonders event will be held on Jan. 26 to officially launch the book trail.
“So it’s going to be combination of all things storytime for the younger children, some exploring for the older children and for adults, and they’ll be something for everyone,” explained MacGregor.
The free event runs 2 – 4 p.m., and the book trail will be available on the Heritage trails until the end of April.
