According to the Elections Ontario website, two new faces have joined the provincial political race for Perth-Wellington’s MPP.
This includes James Montgomery running for the New Blue Party and Ontario Party candidate Sarah Zenuh.
Montgomery, a Stratford resident that previously ran for city councillor in 2022, is working with the New Blue Party, which promises to challenge the status quo, stand up for hardworking residents and bring accountability to government.
A social media post said Zenuh has “already connected with so many people in Perth-Wellington, attending events and spreading her message about what she sees as priorities in both Perth-Wellington and Ontario at large.”
There are now six candidates running for MPP.
Other candidates include Conservative Matthew Rae, Ian Morton for the Green Party, Liberal Ashley Fox and NDP candidate Jason Davis.
A complete and final list of candidates will be available after 2 p.m. on Thursday on the Elections Ontario website.
