YMCA’s ‘Strong Kids’ campaign surpasses goal

The YMCA’s 2013 Strong Kids campaign was a success.

The fifth annual fundraiser surpassed its goal and raised over $90,000.

The annual campaign is to raise awareness and much needed financial support for the work the YMCA does in providing children and families with the values and life skills to succeed.

The Y believes that everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, should be able to participate and benefit from YMCA programs.

The majority of this assistance goes to children, youth and young adults in the form of memberships at the health and fitness sites including swimming lessons; participation in summer day camps in Stratford, St. Marys, Mitchell and Shakespeare; meals, support & counseling through youth centres in Stratford and Mitchell and support for families in times of challenge through our early learning and school-age programs and sites in Stratford and Shakespeare.
