The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth are hosting a special walk-in adoption event on Friday at their centres in Stratford and Kitchener.
With more than 100 animals in their care, the events make it easier for pet parents to open their hearts and and homes to pets in need.
Victoria Baby, Chief Executive Officer at the humane society, said adopting a pet is an incredibly rewarding experience, as they invite people to meet their perfect match.
The humane society are near capacity and every adoption makes room for another animal. Some long-term resident dogs have waited more than 200 days for a family.
Adoption fees for adult dogs will be reduced to $100 for this event, and other adoption fees remain the same.
