Stratford & District Chamber of Commerce host candidate’s debate tonight

It’s an opportunity to learn more about Perth-Wellington’s candidates in the provincial election.

Stratford & District Chamber of Commerce are hosting a candidate’s debate tonight (Feb. 20) at the Stratford Rotary Complex, beginning at 7 p.m.

Chamber GM Aaron Martin said that the forum is designed to foster meaningful dialogue, ensuring voters have the necessary insights to make informed decisions at the polls.

“If you have questions on what their platform is, this is a great venue to kind of interact with them and find out what their actual stances are. It’s also kind of a live fire exercise as well, so you can see how they handle the pressure when certain topics come up.”

He explains how the debate provides an opportunity for learning more about each candidate.

“These are people we are electing to represent us in government so we’d really like to have the best of the best and this is a great way to see some of that as well.”

Debate moderator is Craig Thompson, President/Executive Producer of Ballinran Entertainment.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

It will also be live-streamed on Wightman’s Youtube channel and available for viewing on Wightman Television and Rogers TV at a later date.
