United Way Perth-Huron is letting the community know they are again ready to offer support, given uncertain economic times.
Executive Director Ryan Erb said local companies are facing challenges due to tariffs from the U.S., but just as those companies have supported United Way, the organization has and will continue to help.
United Way offers a variety of resources for employees facing slowdowns and layoffs, including the round-the-clock 211 helpline, which can help direct residents to supports and services.
United Way’s urgent needs fund helps with immediate expenses, including emergency car repairs, groceries, and rent arrears.
The organization is also committed to helping provide access to important mental health supports and services, critical during stressful times.
Added Erb: “Together, we will navigate these challenges and emerge even stronger.”
