Cyclones win final GOJHL regular season game…playoff matchups all set

Jordan Visneskie’s three goals powered the Listowel Cyclones to a 6-3 win over the Strathroy Rockets Monday in the final game of the GOJHL Western Division season.

Teague Vader, Ezra Fischer and Avry Anstis added goals as the Cyclones roared back from a three goal deficit. Visneskie completed the hat trick with an empty netter while the Cyclones were shorthanded, with 22 seconds left in the game.

Damian Pancino scored twice for the Rockets after Brendan Gerber opened the scoring in the first period.

Playoff matchups are set 

The western division quarterfinal playoff matchups are all set.

St. Marys Lincolns finished first in the west and will take on eighth place KW Siskins, while the third place Stratford Warriors will face the LaSalle Vipers (6th place).

The fourth place Cyclones will face the London Nationals, who finished in fifth after the regular season.

The second place Chatham Maroons face Elmira Sugar Kings (7th).
