East York residents arrested in Listowel after foot pursuit

A theft and foot pursuit in Listowel has resulted in the arrest of three East York residents.

Perth OPP observed two males exit a local business in the north Perth community with unpaid merchandise on March 9.

They attempted to flee in a red pickup truck.

Police initiated a traffic stop and arrested the driver while the other two males fled on foot.

Police engaged in a foot pursuit with the two males who were caught and arrested.

The accused, ages 31, 32 and 28, are charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.

All three were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at Ontario Court of Justice on April 14.
