Friday Night Ice: Warriors, Lincolns start GOJHL playoff runs tonight

Stratford Warriors welcome LaSalle Vipers to the William Allman Memorial Arena tonight.

Game 1 of the best-of-seven GOJHL Western Division quarterfinal series starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Warriors won 33 games, finishing in third place in the regular season, three spots ahead of their Essex County opponents.

Game 2 is Wednesday in LaSalle at 7 p.m., with Game 3 back in Stratford on Friday, March 21 (7:30 p.m.).

Regular season champions St. Marys Lincolns host KW Siskins in Game 1 tonight at the Pyramid Recreation Centre. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

St. Marys finished 11 points ahead of second place Chatham Maroons.

The Siskins, eighth place in the regular season, host Game 2 on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Game 3 is back in St. Marys on St. Patrick’s Day (Monday) at 7:30 p.m., wrapping up three games in four days for the teams.

Defending Sutherland Cup champions Listowel Cyclones get their quarterfinal underway on Sunday against the London Nationals at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex, at 7:30 p.m.

Game 2 is Wednesday, March 19 in London at 7 p.m. with Game 3 back in Listowel on Friday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m.

The Cyclones won 32 games and finished in fourth spot in the division while the Nationals ended up in fifth.

The Maroons host Elmira Sugar Kings in their quarterfinal, which starts Sunday in Chatham at 7 p.m.
