Stratford Perth Museum has announced its 2025 Agricultural Wall of Fame inductees, an honour that celebrates Perth County farmers’ contributions to the ag sector.

Inductees include Kirk Rankin and Carl Schade.

Rankin, owner of R.B.R. Fur Farms Limited, has been a leader in the mink and fur industry for decades and his family have raised mink in Perth South since the 1930s.

Rankin has held numerous leadership roles including, president of the Ontario Fur Breeders Association and director of the Perth County Federation of Agriculture, for more than 25 years.

Schade, honoured posthumously, was known as a pillar in the local dairy sector, providing expert service and support to Perth County farmers for nearly 50 years.

He owned and operated Advanced Dairy Systems and was known for his willingness to respond to emergencies at any hour, ensuring that farmers’ operations ran smoothly.

The official induction will take place at the Stratford Rotary Club’s Rural-Urban Dinner on March 27.
