Perth-Wellington federal candidates acclaimed for NDP, Liberals

Kevin Kruchkywich has been acclaimed NDP candidate for Perth-Wellington.

Kruchkywich is an actor and improviser with nearly 30 years of experience performing across Canada. He also works as a general contractor.

“No matter where they stand on the socio-economic spectrum, Kevin has seen a common thread—Canadians are struggling, and many are deeply concerned about the future of the nation,” the Perth-Wellington NDP riding association said in a media release.

Kruchkywich is hosting a virtual event launch tonight (March 18) at 7:30 p.m.

David Mackey was acclaimed as the federal Liberal candidate.

Mackey’s LinkedIn page lists the Stratford resident as an entrepreneur and consultant with experience volunteering in the city.

The local Liberal riding association describes Mackey as “an enthusiastic advocate for innovation, growth, community engagement, and equity.”

Perth-Wellington MP John Nater, Conservative, has announced his intention to run again in the next federal election.

Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to call an election in the near future.
