Wayne Baker is running for the People’s Party of Canada in the upcoming federal election.
The Arthur resident ran in Perth-Wellington for the party in 2021.
Baker has a business background and is currently a small business owner, providing first hand experience of the challenges and opportunities faced by working entrepreneurs, according to his biography.
Baker said he believes in a future where governments put Canadians first and politicians and bureacrats “get out of the way”, rather than try to control every aspect of life.”
“Let’s work together to return Canada to its rightful status as ‘The True North Strong and Free’.”
Baker is determined to ensure that Canadians regain control of their future and that government serves the people—not the other way around.
Other local candidates include Kevin Kruchkywich of the NDP and David Mackey (Liberal) and Conservative John Nater.
