Huron-Perth CSCU investigation gets fentanyl, cocaine off the streets

An investigation initiated by Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit has resulted in the seizure of heavy drugs.

On Tuesday, search warrants were executed in Vanastra in Huron County and North York.

Suspected fentanyl and cocaine were seized, with a value estimated at $12,470.

Other offence-related property including cell phones, packaging, and a digital scale seized by police totaled $4,100.

Several police detachments and specialty units worked together on the case.

A 41-year-old Huron East resident faces two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
