Learn about the federal election, engage with Perth-Wellington candidates

It’s a chance to learn about the federal election and meet Perth-Wellington candidates.

United Way Perth-Huron and The Local Community Food Centre are co-hosting an educational series, Community Connections – Federal Election Edition.

Starting April 9, participants will learn about the federal government and identify key issues to discuss with candidates.

On April 16, voters can discuss important topics with political candidates in small groups.

On April 23, you can learn how to follow-up with candidates and make a plan to vote.

Julie Docker-Johnson, community connector at the centre, said it’s an opportunity for engaging dialogue.

“When the candidates are here, it is a conversation. It is not debate, it is not an all-candidates meeting. It’s a conversation around a table about things that are important to us in Perth-Wellington.”

The Local’s location on Erie Street is the venue, and all sessions run 6-8 p.m.

To register, visit perthhuron.unitedway.ca or contact Docker-Johnson at The Local.
