GOJHL: Defending Sutherland Cup champs swept out of playoffs

Listowel Cyclones 6-3 loss on Wednesday night against the London Nationals ended their season.

The Nationals won four straight games to sweep the GOJHL quarterfinal series and eliminate the 2024 Sutherland Cup champions.

Joshua Lepain scored twice for the Nationals. Eddie Hickson,  Braedon Clark, Aiden McDonald and Jackson Priddle, with an empty netter, added singles.

Cam McNevan, Wylie Birkett and Tate Brenner scored for the Cyclones.

The teams combined for four power play goals.

Stratford Warriors won their quarterfinal 4-0 over LaSalle Vipers while St. Marys won their series 4-1 over KW Siskins.

Chatham Maroons are up 3-1 as they host Elmira Sugar Kings tonight (Thursday).
