Stratford police remind residents to ‘respect the electoral process’ after reports of stolen  election signs from various locations in the city over the weekend.

Removal of political signs is the crime of theft and anyone involved in stealing signs could  be charged, police said.

Police advise residents to allow all individuals running for parliament to advertise without  interference, regardless of which political party is represented.

Anyone with information regarding the theft of a political sign is asked to contact Stratford police at 519-271- 4141 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.p3tips.com.
