‘Well worth the wait’: Stratford resident wins $1 million OLG lottery prize

Vasile Racolta was at home when he got the good news.

The Stratford resident won $1 million in an OLG ENCORE game.

“I remained quiet and calm,” Racolta told OLG. “When I told my sons the news, they were very happy, but jokingly said, ‘Dad, this isn’t enough!’ We all shared a good laugh.”

Racolta, a father of two and grandfather of one, matched all seven ENCORE numbers in exact order to win the March LOTTO Max draw.

“Winning was well worth the wait,” he said.

He looks forward to sharing his prize with his family and purchasing a home.
