A board of directors making a difference for community youth

Shelterlink Youth Services is recruiting new board members.

The local organization provides services for youth ages 14 to 24 that are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

Board co-chair Barb Cottle, a retired teacher, said it’s a “terrific” group to work with.

They are seeking residents with fundraising and/or financial/accounting experience.

But if that’s not your forte, Cottle said, not to worry.

“We would still like to have you apply because we are interested in anyone who is passionate about serving youth in our community.”

Executive Director Cate Trudeau said board members share a common purpose of doing better for youth in the community.

“It’s just a really great organization supported at all levels by really great people,” Trudeau said.
