OPP says ice to blame in cruiser, school bus crash

The Oxford County OPP has released an update on last Thursday’s accident involving a cruiser and a school bus.

The accident happened just before 9:00 a.m. that day at the intersection of County Road #33 and the 16th Line in East Zorra-Tavistock.

Police say the OPP cruiser was approaching the ice covered intersection and began to slow down for the stop sign.

The cruiser slid through and crashed into the bus which was taking 17 students to Innerkip Central School.

No one was hurt in the accident and no charges will be laid.
