Charity book sale goes Saturday at Bedford Public School

She a voracious reader raising money for good causes.

Izzy the Bookworm is hosting a charity book sale on Saturday at Bedford Public School.

Mom Lindsey Martchenko said it’s the third annual.

In the past they have supported organizations like the MS Society.

“This year I said, ‘hey, do you want to support anyone else’? And I gave her a list of all the charities that I could think of that are local and she picked. So two great causes.”

This year, proceeds will support Stratford Perth Humane Society and ONE CARE Home & Community Support Services.

“I am supporting the humane society because they will be able to buy (blankets) and toys for the doggies and kitties when they are getting work done on them and they will be able to get more special medicine for the doggies and kitties.”

Izzy added that support of One Care will help them continue to help with programs such as Meals on Wheels.

All of the books are donated. The book sale runs from 1-3 p.m.
