The fifth annual Rotary Brews and Food Fest is being held this Sunday.
The Rotary Club of St. Marys hosts the event, which raises funds for the town’s All Wheels Skatepark while showcasing craft beverages and food trucks. The club has made a 10-year, $100,000 commitment to the project located on James Street.
Rotary member Mark Oliver said there will be up to 12 Ontario craft beverage vendors and six food trucks.
“You’ll be sure to find your next favourite local beer, cider, wine or spirit.”
He added tickets only need to be purchased by those participating in alcohol sampling and live music.
“That is open to the general public, no ticket purchase required at all. So, if people want to patronize the food trucks, come on out and don’t worry about tickets,” said Oliver.
Waterloo’s Waterstreet Blues Band will provide the music and will play three sets beginning at 1 p.m.
“We’re excited to welcome them. They are a tight group with a lot of touring experience and people who enjoy that type of music are in for a real treat,” he explained.
This outdoor event runs rain or shine and takes place at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets can only be purchased online in advance of the event at www.brewsandfood.ca but will be available at the door on Sunday.
