Fundraiser for L’Arche Stratford will include golf, food, music

Details have been announced for the 5th annual L’Arche Stratford golf tournament.

Stratford Municipal Golf Course is the venue on Aug. 14, with lunch at noon and a shotgun start scheduled for 1 p.m.

The tournament is a fundraiser for the ‘Be Belong Become!’ campaign, which raises funds for a new 15,000 square foot community hub at 426 Britannia Street.

L’Arche Stratford supports 26 people in six homes and 50 people through programming activities, with a vision to grow and welcome more people with developmental disabilities.

There is an after party starting at 4 p.m. at the Ritsma Farm, with a barbecue dinner and live music from Our Little Band and Strings and Traps.

Registration is $150 for a single golfer and $600 for a foursome. Registration includes nine holes of golf, a cart, lunch and the after party.

Cost of the after party only is $75. Register at the news and events section on the L’arche Stratford website.

This fully accessible community building will provide eight affordable, independent living suites, activity rooms and a community kitchen.
