A traffic safety initiative resulted in eight vehicles being taken off the road and seven charges laid.
Stratford police conducted the initiative last week in conjunction with the Ministry of Transportation.
Twenty-one vehicles were stopped and 18 were inspected.
Four charges were laid against owner/operators for expired registration.
One of the charges was for bald tires that had exposed wires coming from the tire. Two seatbelt charges were also handed out.
