Police seek suspects after smash and grab robbery in Stratford

Stratford police are looking for four male suspects after a smash and grab robbery at Paris Jewelers at Stratford Mall on Sunday afternoon.

Police were alerted shortly before 5 p.m. when the four masked suspects entered the store, smashed glass cases and made off with an unknown amount of jewellery.

Suspects fled in a black Honda Accord, license plate DCPP 820, which was stolen earlier that day from Peel Region.

Police located the vehicle and pursued it on Ontario Street until pursuit was terminated just west of Shakespeare in the interest of public safety.

The vehicle was later observed by Waterloo Regional Police on Highway 7/8 in the area of Homer Watson Boulevard. A pursuit was not initiated as the vehicle was driving at a very high rate of speed and swerving in and out of traffic.

A limited description of the suspects is available as all males were completely concealed.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Stratford Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
