Three days of fun: Stonetown Heritage Festival this weekend in St. Marys

The annual Stonetown Heritage Festival starts Friday in St. Marys.

Billed as a celebration of creativity, culture, entertainment and flavour, the three-day festival includes a free show of Minecraft at Cadzow Park to kickstart the weekend.

Saturday will feature a vendor village in the downtown core, along with a hula hoop and comedy artist, face painting, inflatables, a magician stilt walker and an array of vendors.

You can also check out seasonal products at the Farmer’s Market at Milt Dunnell Field.

There are performances at Queen Street and Water Street and downtown restaurants, eateries and food trucks available.

You can also learn more about the history of the town with a guided river walking tour, a walking tour and an educational bus tour.

There is an art exhibit, an art island and the you can stop in to the St. Marys Station Gallery. Local musicians are performing jazz, rock n’ roll and country music.

The weekend wraps up Sunday with the St. Marys Horticultural Society’s Garden Tour.
