There is a partnership brewing that promises an eclectic arts experience.
Leisa Hartman from The Livery Yard and Tim Harrison from the OnRush Festival are getting set for Livery After Dark, over three-nights at the popular coffee house.
Hartman said she is always looking for ways to get the community involved.
Musician Lauren Neilson and summer students from Dayna Manning’s Folk Army summer program will perform a summer showcase to start the festival on Thursday.
Alt-Folk trio Cabin Fever, fresh off a just released debut album, are set to perform on Friday.
Poet Laureate’s David Stones and Quinn Mayer are the guests on Saturday.
“There is going to be some song, there is going to be some music and, of course, lots and lots of spoken word.”
Hartman said guests can expect a 60’s coffee house vibe. Donations are accepted at the door and go towards Generation Rainbow Collective, safe space program for LGBTQ+ youth in the community. Performances start at 7 p.m.
A grant from Destination Stratford’s After Dark Music Pop-Up fund has helped, and OnRush Festival is matching that grant, while providing sound and some of the logistics.
