Another Stratford treasure hunt weekend starts Friday

You can finally get rid of unwanted home items by placing them outside for someone to take.

The City of Stratford has announced another Treasure Hunt Weekend. Residents can place items they don’t need out on the curb for anyone to collect.

You can put materials out starting 4 p.m. Friday, with any untaken items removed from the curb by 3 p.m. Sunday.

The goal is to promote recycling and to keep materials with some life still in the tank out of Stratford’s landfill site.

The city asks you to not leave items you want to keep out on the curb for this event.
