MPP Rae announces funding for long-term care homes

Seniors can get better access to the care they need through new funding.

Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae announced today $196,600 is going to five local long-term care homes in the region, through the Local Priorities Fund, supporting care homes by providing specialized equipment, services, and staff training.

Funds will expand equipment and services.

Rae said funding “allows our long-term care providers to offer specialized services that keep our seniors safe, healthy, and right here in our rural communities.”

Receiving funding are Spruce Lodge ($127,496); Greenwood Court ($19,950); West Perth Village ($5,988); Strathcona Long Term Care ($14,051) and Kingsway Lodge Nursing Home ($29,130).
