House of Blessing gets $2500 grant

The House of Blessing has gotten a big boost.

The organization has received $2500 from the Rural Kids Grant Program.

The funding will allow The House of Blessing to continue the Kids Zone program which provides healthy snacks to children who use their food bank.

Last year The House of Blessing provided food for 5,898 people, 1986 of which were children.

That included 338 new families, demonstrating the ever-increasing need for the service.

If you would like to donate fresh, healthy food to Stratford House of Blessing you can drop it off at 423 Erie Street, Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
