Ballinran Entertainment celebrates 30 years of telling the stories that matter

Stratford-based production company Ballinran Entertainment is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

President and Executive Producer Craig Thompson said he started the company with a vision to tell stories that matter, and three decades later, they are “still driven by that same mission while taking advantage of new technologies, reaching wider audiences, and creating platforms to empower the next generation of storytellers.”

The company creates content around the world with “community storytelling to internationally acclaimed documentaries and cultural diplomacy initiatives.”

Projects have included The Truth Is in the Stars, with William Shatner, Whoopi
Goldberg and Stephen Hawking, Game Changers with Alex Trebek, The Captains, the TIFF
premiere and award winning Mostly Sunny and the recent film Exclusion: Beyond the
Silence.

Thompson, a journalist, who launched his media career in Stratford, noted Ballinran’s commitment to the community, including its professional broadcast of the annual Remembrance Day ceremonies, elevating Rotary Club of Stratford’s fund-raising initiatives and supporting Stratford Symphony Orchestra.

New projects include the launch of Stageview.TV, a streaming channel focused on arts and culture, and the development of Stageview Studios, a 25,000-square-foot production facility in Stratford designed to serve southwestern Ontario’s growing creative content ecosystem.
