Measles exposure at Seaforth Community Hospital

A new measles exposure has been announced by Huron Perth Public Health.

The exposure occurred at Seaforth Community Hospital’s emergency department waiting room and outpatient imaging on Monday, from 12:10 p.m. until 2:14 p.m.

Anyone at the location during this timeframe needs to monitor for measles signs and symptoms for 21 days after exposure.

You can complete a measles self assessment here.

It includes people at the location briefly as measles is highly contagious and can linger in the air for up to two hours.

Symptoms include fever, runny nose, cough, red eyes and small white spots.
