Huron Perth Public Health investigating Goderich dog incident

Public health staff are on the lookout for a little dog involved in an incident in Goderich.

Huron Perth Public Health says on Friday morning between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., an incident took place at the intersection of Courthouse Square and Montreal Street in Goderich.

Health unit staff say that a man was walking the dog when the incident happened, with the dog described as “small-sized, black and white and possibly a Shih Tzu mix.”

The health unit is investigating to check if the rabies vaccination status of the dog is up to date.

HPPH reminds people to always obtain the contact information of the owners of the animal involved.

The health unit says if you have any information about this dog, make sure to contact public health at 1-888-221-2133 ext. 3670.
