Fatality after motorcycle and passenger vehicle collision in North Perth

A 36-year-old motorcycle driver from Drayton died after a collision with a passenger vehicle in North Perth on Monday on Tuesday.

Perth OPP, paramedics and North Perth and Mapleton Fire Departments responded to Perth Line 88 and Perth Road 140.

Police said the motorcycle driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased after being taken to a trauma centre.

Occupants of the passenger vehicle had minor injuries.

West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team are assisting Perth County OPP with the investigation.

Perth Line 88 will be closed between Perth Road 146 and Wellington Sideroad 3 for several hours to investigate.

Anyone who may have witnessed this collision or has dashcam footage is asked to call 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or ontariocrimestoppers.ca where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
